SERVICES OFFERED

With over 15 years of education and experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, I build on a strong foundation of knowledge - but what I love most is infusing creativity with therapy.  Each interactive method, such as arts and crafts, digital tools, play-integrated learning, movement-based activities, and individualized games, is customized to make learning both exciting and impactful!

Every child deserves a voice that is supported and encouraged - growing into one empowered with confidence, independence, and self-advocacy.

Therapy is about more than just teaching a skill - it’s about building a connection rooted in trust and safety, which becomes the foundation for growth. Communication thrives when a child feels emotionally and physically supported, making that understanding a vital part of every session.  Most importantly, it’s about meeting every child where they are, creating the most meaningful and effective outcomes.

A screening is a brief tool that helps identify if a child may be showing signs of a speech and/or language delay and to determine whether an in-depth evaluation is required.

A comprehensive evaluation is used to identify communication strengths and challenges, determining if speech therapy is required.  The process involves administering standardized tests, collecting and reviewing case history information, and recording observations.

Services for the pediatric population include: articulation, expressive and receptive language, fluency, and pragmatics.

My goal is to identify areas that require growth, understand your child’s unique learning style, and support their development through engaging activities that build on their strengths.

Services for all ages include:  a specialized approach to correcting the /r/ sound - focusing on appropriate lingual, labial, and mandibular placement and movement, along with individually addressing the various /r/ components such as blends and vocalic /r/.

The /r/ sound can be one of the most challenging sounds to teach and correct. It is one of my favorite sounds to target, not only for its intricacy, but also for the rewarding challenge it brings.

A BALANCED APPROACH FOR GROWING COMMUNICATORS

INNOVATION

Creativity and new approaches allow me to shape every session around the client’s interests, keeping therapy fun and growth-focused.

Therapy is extra work for your child.  I want them to be motivated to learn because they are excited about the activities they get to participate in during our sessions!

NURTURING

As a mom of two, I understand how important it is to connect with children in ways that help them feel truly seen, heard, and valued - not just for what they do, but for who they are and how they feel.

I celebrate their efforts - big or small - and offer choices throughout our sessions to support their sense of independence and control within a safe and supportive environment.

ADAPTABILITY

By listening closely, observing carefully, and responding to honor your child's emotions, strengths, and challenges - I adjust strategies and methods to meet your child where they are, ensuring progress feels achievable.

THE HEART BEHIND MY PASSION

The gift of watching a child grow - hearing their honesty when something feels hard, seeing them try again because they believe in themselves and in me, witnessing the joy in their smiles when they realize they have learned a new skill, and celebrating those moments with them - is what fills my heart. Being a part of a child’s journey as they grow in confidence and strengthen communication skills that will serve them for a lifetime is one of the most fulfilling aspects of what I get to do.
